The weapon bosses from FF7 (Emerald, Ruby, Ultima and Sapphire) are going to be uber bosses in a fest coming up and they're harder than 4* magicite bosses.

This is my problem. New uber bosses, 4* and eventually 5* magicite, the new torments...none of this sounds appealing to me. To keep up with powercreep the options are basically:

*getting really lucky with relic pulls (lol)
*becoming a whale (fuck that, even if I could afford it)
*an even bigger time / energy investment in farming (kill me)

Not to mention all the trial and error it's going to take to actually beat any of these bosses.

I have plenty of tools to handle all the content so far, but I'm missing a few key pieces to really have a top-tier team--almost all of which are on this banner. I know it's RNG, but for the game to give me a giant middle finger like this is really the last straw.

Fuck this, I'm done. 3/33 all dupes (literally 1 of each of the 3 I already had). 90 mythril and $35 down the drain. It's the only time I've ever paid full price for a relic draw.

I know I sound like a whiny kid, but I've come to realize that the only fun I've really had in a long time with this game is pulling shiny new relics. Like, I straight up don't want to do the crystal tower or 4* magicite, which kills me as a week 1 player because I'm so invested in the game, and I hate leaving anything unfinished. I need to do this.

This is correct, but I think he was saying OK usb's crit buff wont improve clouds damage at all, whereas Zack or ramza would.

I played 1, 3, and 4 ages ago, and IIRC they take place in the same world but aren't really connected story-wise. Obviously I enjoyed them (my account name is from FM3), just be prepared 3 is really long, especially if you play both storylines.

Before this, I was a week one player with literally zero water relics, so I'm really happy with this. I spent what I planned on spending, and got almost everything I wanted (just missing the chain, but I'm sure there will be more chances for that).

Apparently the Black Friday draw is going to be BSB+ (and LMR), full price, guaranteed three 5* or higher relics. If you're planning on pulling on FFX, it's a good idea to wait until Friday just in case you get anything from there (unlikely as it is).

There's also going to be some kind of random item draw for three days, where you can get mythril, growth eggs, or upgrade mats.

Lastly, the 5* and 6* ability buff is happening Monday. Good times ahead.

Also forgot stamina potions will be available in the greens shop Monday.

It's good to have the occasional cheat day. Constantly denying yourself things you like is likely just going to make you feel depressed about the whole thing. You're not going to undo all of your work with one bad meal. Like if you're planning on going out with friends, or celebrating something (or even just having date night) don't let the diet get in your way.

Cheat days are OK because you are on a healthy diet and sometimes eat poorly. Working cheat days into diets is usually bad. I would skip cheat days until you barely even want them. Youre making a holistic life change, you need to go for it.

This is true, I was mainly trying to say it's not the end of the world if you do cheat.

I've lost about 70 pounds since April doing keto (I'm at 250 now). I could've lost more by now but I've eased up a lot in the last few months. At first I was also walking about 2-3 miles a day and doing intermittent fasting - I would usually fast for 2 days, and the rest of the week try to eat only 1-2 meals a day. Once you hit ketosis your appetite will go way down, so it's much easier than it sounds.

-Get a good scale, but don't weigh yourself every day. Weight fluctuates day to day and it's easy to get obsessed with it, especially if you start to plateau. I would weigh about once a week and keep track of it.
-Remember it's ok to splurge occasionally, but try to be mindful of your diet while doing so

I went to grind Sealion and brought Fabula Raider as RW. I changed up the party that I normally use last time I fought him, but for some reason he was beating the shit out of me tonight. Of course my stubborn ass was like, this worked for me last time, surely I'm just doing something wrong. It took me close to an hour to finally give up and try something else, when I finally realized...Fabula Raider doesn't give protect and shell. I've been using Rikku USB RW a lot lately and somehow got it in my head that it was the same thing.

I'd say it's worth it to refresh and complete as much content as you can. Your mythril should be in good shape and the extra orbs / crystals will go a long way to help you catch up.

Tempted to do an 11 pull on it since there's three relics I'm aiming for (Cloud USB or BSB2, Zack CSB since I have a ton of wind relics), but I need to make sure I have enough mythril for some future events. I know FFX is coming up soon, but how far away are the FF3 (OK USB) and FFTA events?

IIRC FFX should be early-mid December (with FFTA right behind it) and OK should be late January-ish.

IMO the Renewal banners are only a half-step above the beginner banners - there's some good stuff but there's so much garbage the odds of getting anything good (let alone the relics you actually want) are still terrible.

My faris has usb2, bsb, and slb, and she's my go-to support. There are better debuffing options out there, but if you're looking for an all in one package she holds up pretty well. Also keep in mind she doesn't really have any buffing options either.
